About me

Hello!

My name is Jonnie Holmberg, and I am an illustrator based in Malmö. I create illustrations with storytelling impact, ranging from children’s and chapter books to educational materials. My projects include published children’s books, educational publications, album covers, book covers, and numerous collaborations with Malmö City, where I illustrated for Folkets Park. I have experience delivering complete concepts that engage readers and meet the standards of professional publications.

I am always happy to take on new projects where illustration is at the center—let’s create images that stand out!

Client involvement

I involve my clients throughout the entire process, from rough sketch to final illustration. By sharing drafts, detailed sketches, and color studies along the way, everyone stays on the same page – no surprises, just a result we’re both happy with.

Process breakdown

My illustration process is clear and collaborative. It starts with a rough sketch to capture the idea, followed by a detailed sketch for structure and composition. Next comes a color draft to explore mood and palette, and finally the finished illustration. At every step, clients are involved, ensuring the result matches their vision with no surprises.
